Another Friday and we're supposed to be in school. Mom is working at the hospital for the weekend, so we're going to be spending the weekend with our good neighbor Hef. Mom was able to drop us off at school before she went to work. She told us to have a good day at school and to behave for Hef. As soon as Mom drove off, we bolted before the principal or any of our teachers saw us. We blew school off and headed to the beach, camera in hand. We were looking for some prime eye candy to capture on our Polaroid camera. Hef always appreciates when we can capture some hotties on camera. Needless to say we got a lot of babes on camera. We also got a picture of this gearbox who caught our attention. We observed he/she going threw the trash cans, and spending a considerable amount of time sniffing toilet seats in the beach portables. He/she became very angry when it noticed us snapping pictures of it. He/she threatened us with a lawsuit If we didn't hand over the pictures and cease and desist immediately. Fortunately for us, we all conceal and carry a Browning 9mm. When it realized anyone of us could send he/she straight to hell the gearbox high-tailed it outta there, we were left concerned about what exactly its intentions were where the poor dog was concerned? Hef showed us how to discharge and handle a firearm properly. We'll always remember what Hef told us. He said everything is done with purpose, with speed and lethality. Hef told us always aim for center mass, and always put at least two rounds into the intended target. Words to live by, that's why Mom trusts Hef to look after us when she can't be around.
Someone once asked Senior just how pro 2A he was, I think he secretly raised all those coons he use to act like he didn’t like….

Howdy y’all, spent the day re-insulating part of the North wall in my bedroom then moved my computer desk (3’ X 6’ Mahogany—fuckin heavy!!!!) and doing some cleaning…. I’m tired and sore! Still ain’t even started hookin puter back up yet. Thinkin it’s gonna be a cold winter here, everything is pointing to a lot of snow too, persimmons are showing spoons, hornets building nests kinda high, etc. Enjoy y’all’s night!

So every couple months or so I'll meet a dude who tries to tell me he was in Nam when he clearly wasn't old enough to have served in Nam. This morning I was talking to a guy at my pool. First he told me he was seventy. Then he told me he was a combat rescue swimmer in Nam. So if he's 70 at the end of 2025, he would have been 18 (at the earliest) at the end of 1972. Meanwhile the Vietnam peace treaty was signed in January of 1973, the last American soldiers left at the end of March, according to Google, the last to deploy probably would have been sometime in 72. Is it even possible that this guy could have made it to Vietnam, much less have been a combat rescue swimmer?

So many passing on. Every day somebody I knew or knew of. My dad passed when he was 56. My mom passed at 54. I'll be 66 this year and grateful for every day that I'm sitting upright, able to feed myself and wipe my own butt. It's the little things. I'm still climbing ladders, working on cars and hauling my travel trailer for camping adventures. Life is good.

My brother and I volunteered internationally for the Red Cross as disaster responders for eight years and we had to stop doing it because we saw some really messed up stuff. My friend's son is 14 and is set on volunteering in Gaza but doesn't understand when you go to those places you're going to see the worst of the worst. This is how soft he is, The dumbass cried the other day because he had to get the flu shot and had to sit in his mother's lap because he was freaking out so much. Thankfully I got him to apply to the volunteering position at the Veteran's home which will be perfect for him. Hope he doesn't freak out when he needs a TB test. Lol.

I have a similar problem with hips and back but for a different reason. I am post surgical open back surgery, right on the bottom of the spine where the spine joins the tail bone.
It comes and goes but usually it's normal. When the post surgical area becomes inflamed I'm like a guy with lower back problems, there's not another blown disc, the post surgical area is just sore and inflamed.
After walking, moving (maybe even sitting) and carrying my weight differently I have hip problems, sometimes it feels more like muscle and sometimes it feels more like joints. There's nothing wrong with my hip area, when the back goes back to normal the hip problems go away.
For me, Naproxen (Aleve) works very well and Advil doesn't work but I've heard people say the opposite.
Don I’m so sorry for your loss. I don’t like change, but it’s something we all have to deal with in someway. God is good he will never leave or forsake us. The pups were so hilarious getting in the mud. They were having a good ole time. It always makes my day when I see you or Diane have posted a video. Hope you’ll have a good week .

Dam buzzards went ape shit and fucked up the membrane on my slide out and pulled some cool seal of the main roof. Going to sink posts in the ground high enough to run fishing line across the whole roof of the RV. Got a couple owl decoys as well. Trying everything in my power not to get my anti-aircraft 22 Marlin 60 in the mix. Their a protected species so that's out of the question. Hope Everyone is doing well.

So every couple months or so I'll meet a dude who tries to tell me he was in Nam when he clearly wasn't old enough to have served in Nam. This morning I was talking to a guy at my pool. First he told me he was seventy. Then he told me he was a combat rescue swimmer in Nam. So if he's 70 at the end of 2025, he would have been 18 (at the earliest) at the end of 1972. Meanwhile the Vietnam peace treaty was signed in January of 1973, the last American soldiers left at the end of March, according to Google, the last to deploy probably would have been sometime in 72. Is it even possible that this guy could have made it to Vietnam, much less have been a combat rescue swimmer?

So many passing on. Every day somebody I knew or knew of. My dad passed when he was 56. My mom passed at 54. I'll be 66 this year and grateful for every day that I'm sitting upright, able to feed myself and wipe my own butt. It's the little things.
I'm still climbing ladders, working on cars and hauling my travel trailer for camping adventures. Life is good.

My brother and I volunteered internationally for the Red Cross as disaster responders for eight years and we had to stop doing it because we saw some really messed up stuff. My friend's son is 14 and is set on volunteering in Gaza but doesn't understand when you go to those places you're going to see the worst of the worst. This is how soft he is, The dumbass cried the other day because he had to get the flu shot and had to sit in his mother's lap because he was freaking out so much. Thankfully I got him to apply to the volunteering position at the Veteran's home which will be perfect for him. Hope he doesn't freak out when he needs a TB test. Lol.

I have a similar problem with hips and back but for a different reason.
I am post surgical open back surgery, right on the bottom of the spine where the spine joins the tail bone.
It comes and goes but usually it's normal. When the post surgical area becomes inflamed I'm like a guy with lower back problems, there's not another blown disc, the post surgical area is just sore and inflamed.
After walking, moving (maybe even sitting) and carrying my weight differently I have hip problems, sometimes it feels more like muscle and sometimes it feels more like joints.
There's nothing wrong with my hip area, when the back goes back to normal the hip problems go away.
For me, Naproxen (Aleve) works very well and Advil doesn't work but I've heard people say the opposite.

Creatures of habit get comfortable in the world they created and enjoy it. Time to make another one. Rolling to N FL tomorrow muzzleloader opens Saturday. I have to repair the slide out on my RV. Dam buzzards went ape shit and fucked up the membrane on my slide out and pulled some cool seal of the main roof. Going to sink posts in the ground high enough to run fishing line across the whole roof of the RV. Got a couple owl decoys as well. Trying everything in my power not to get my anti-aircraft 22 Marlin 60 in the mix. Their a protected species so that's out of the question. Hope Everyone is doing well.
