Such a bitter sweet feeling hearing that you guys are retiring from ESE... wished I would have been able to swing it for your guy's last course. Unfortunately it did not work out like that. Just curious but watching these guys struggle (and hitting the Thai pads like little bitches) do you have some sort of physical requirement test to even get in the course so you know they meet some sort of minimum physical standard? If hell night is a requirement and say they show up fat and out of shape what happens if they just flat "Can`t"? Do they tap out and just go home? Have a coronary? Sit out the rest of hell night and then finish up the course but no cert?

I had a Senior Chief as my CC (di) in navy boot. He sounded much like Senior does.. Fair but to the point. At 18-19 years old Senior chiefs were like gods to me,. A Chief Petty Officer was scary enough but a Senior Chief commanded more respect than the officers did.

when i went through baby boot camp at lackland, TIs nd DIs if you will talked just like Don does, when needed, to motivate slackers holding back the whole flight. Now TIs can't cuss and perhaps may have to say "please" . PC on display at its worst now at boot camp/basic training. Also, notice how Don asked the class leader , "Do You Have Anything?. A mark, I have seen in what I call born leaders. Again the earned respect versus respect due because of a position assignment. Don has both without question.

I like seeing that candid stuff and seeing how the course is going was pretty cool.. If you cant get out to a phony then this type of video is just as good. I liked it

Don is definitly in charge, no doubt about it. Reminds me about the time or two I was told I could at times be "brutally honest". My answer, why yes I am but only when needed. A stern voice can work wonders.
