Its not just the electric car, its the ENTIRETY of the "climate change " agenda they are pushing. The WEF could care less if your car can go 9 in a 1/4 mile, its the control and power of these people that is whats disturbing. We WOULDNT be seeing the $5 gas if it wasn't for the WEF and controlled demolition of the world's economy. Tell me about the cost to replace a battery, tell me the amount of oil used. All we are doing with this is pushing the "footprint" off somewhere else. Get him back on in a year so he can twll us how the bugs we are eating are better for us than the cow. The car is just one tiny part of the entire agenda

With the power grid NOT being updated this is going to effe the charging systems. What if tesla doesnt pay the service stations, the station owners put covers on the chargers and you can use them. No thanks

I think this guy has been working in Hollywood too long. For example, he keeps talking that you "can charge it at home." What about the millions of people who live in Apartment Complexs? What about the people who can't afford a new Electric Car? And interestingly he talks about how high gas prices are. But fails to mention that they're artificially high because Biden shut down Oil Production in the United States. This guy is a bought and paid for Democrat Party Shill and quite frankly I'm disappointed that he wasn't challenged on his Green New Energy Rhetoric!

Sorry it been too long , and not doing a buddy check. I have just finished a 12 week clinical trial for new braces made by BTemia a Canadian Company. The FDA only approved for stroke patients in the hospital rehab setting..So the patients can’t take the unit home to help with their deficit of their lower leg parathesia. I did the trial for Osteo Arthritis. This set of braces is a motorized Exoskeleton, the only of its kind for those who have some use of their legs ….I am fighting the FDA and the VA and asking why if the device itself is safe and approved by the FDA , why not open to those who are assessed and the device can be used and change the veterans life by 100%. Dr orders it and Prosthetics cancels it. I asked he write it for off label use, as we know it’s safe and I have spent 12 weeks using them. Nope Denied. So back to using wheelchair which I hate having to use. And when Iwalk , back to looking like a drunk giraffe…

Very interesting. Tesla's are awesome vehicles but ill stick with my f150 and wait for an alternative source of leadership in this country. Ill believe gas powered engines wont exist when i see proof an electric motor can haul a trailer across country up and down mountains without needed a charge every 5 minutes.

This is a good start if you want to understand what really makes Canadians tick. Chu and Hef have been after me to send them this information, so I decided to share it with everyone...🍁

The N.H.L broken down by nationality :
.54% Canadian
.28% American
.18% Other

Ten nations have won a gold medal at the World Championships and a total of fourteen have won medals. Canada has won 45 medals, including 24 gold, the most of any nation.

I guess there is really no reason to get upset about fuel vehicles. If Joe keeps selling our Strategic Petroleum Reserves to India and China we won't have much of a decision to make. Bicycle or Battery

It's going to hit the HVAC world too, say good bye to your gas furnace. On the bright side residential air conditioners and heat pumps manufactured after January 1 will use R-290 refrigerant.

Some people in North Dakota had their power shut off when it was -20⁰ because people in Texas needed the power when it was +20⁰. Charging stations don't do shit if there's no electricity to power them. This battle hasn't been decided because we don't have the generating capacity.

The classic Toyota Prius was not an electric car. It was a hybrid that got all it's energy from gasoline. The battery was charged by the electrical system which got it's energy from the gasoline engine (including energy recovered from braking).

The Plug-in Prius came later and they don't make them anymore because Toyota does have electric cars now & better hybrids. Reportedly some folks with chargers at home and very short commutes & shopping trips only got a couple of tanks of gas a year with plugin-hybrids.

The strange shape is all about low drag and the Prius is still one of the top aerodynamic drag efficient cars ever mass produced.
Last I heard Toyota still claims that the lowest "carbon footprint" vehicle that is possible (including the average source of power available from the grid) and the carbon footprint of mining & manufacturing is the gasoline hybrid.

I don’t remember seeing a war between EV’s and Gas powered vehicles. I do know for 15 plus years the government has offered incentives on EV’s. Seems like a fair fight.
36 % of the population are in favor of EV’s.
The technology isn’t there.
Life of batteries
Harm on environment when batteries are used up
Range of EV’s.
Ability to do the job the diesels and gas vehicles do without losing performance
Cost of the EV’s
High gas prices only started cause of the war on fossil fuels
With this administration it’s go electric if you don’t we force it on you.

Afghanistan has the Richest deposit of lithium in the world. Biden family is heavily invested in Chinese company that uses lithium to make batteries. Guess which company moved into Afghanistan when we pulled out??

My Brothers and i have gasoline coursing thru our veins. The combustion engine is what we've raced, driven , rode and built our whole lives. As ive said many times on this site riding in a tight pack at 80mph on Vtwins with like minded Riders is something i wont give up. The movie ''the wild bunch" touches on what we're all talking about here, CHANGE. in the movie horseless carriages and flying machines are starting to show up and those old horsemen are having none of it. Old men set in their ways and era fade away. This country sits atop of all the others countries because of innovation hard work and daring. I will not fear the future

China is the number one producer of solar panels.
China is also the number 1 builders of coal power plants with over 3100 as of today and building more every year. Going “green” means nothing when India and China are responsible for 35% (and growing) of the worlds pollution

When you can buy a used EV at 5yrs old and expect to be able to still have it 5yrs later, without major expense then and only then will EV put pressure on the gas cars. The average guy can't afford a new vehicle gas or electric. A gas vehicle 4 yrs old is just a teenager. A 4 yr old battery for an EV is on it's way to the scrap yard and that cost will prevent replacement. And of course the Chinese are going to continue to make these batteries available at a low cost. You want to see how popular EV's are. Stop artificially raizing the price of fuel..If gas was under 2 dollars a gallon we wouldn't be having this conversation. I'd like to talk to an exec from the power generating side of this crap and see what he says about the costs to everyone when the nitwits decide to make fuel vehicles illegal. Who's gonna pay. The baby boom is over. Social security is being paid by fewer and fewer workers each year. And now they will be expected to rewire the country for electric cars. ha-ha-ha

Federal gas tax adds what 17-22 cents on every gallon ? How soon after forcing most to buy electric cars, will it take the federal government to add a Kilowatt tax ? I’m sure the government wouldn’t do that right ???

I've seen all Jay's videos and followed this stuff on my own (outside what Leno broadcasts).
Yep,1st electric & steam and when internal combustion came out more guys were using alcohol. Then good ol' Fossil Fuel won the day fair & square.

I'm a big fan of electric but none of those issues are what folks worry about.
It's not the charging stations, although there is a problem there, "slow charge" is an uncomfortable solution during long trips and even "fast charge" isn't the experience you are used to at a gas station.

But ... the real problem is the power grid, it's not ready for that many electric vehicles (not even close). If they were building lots of power plants & beefing up the grid a quicker transition would be possible.

Batteries are good enough to make a kick ass Tesla or Porsche Taycan but volume doesn't make the price come down when the raw materials like Lithium & other minerals just aren't there.
If the materials were there I'd love to have stuff like a "Tesla Wall" inside my home and sell back energy to the grid during peak hours but none of that is ready for everybody yet.

Electric is being shoved down our throats cause it’s “clean and green”. Yet still takes coal or natural gas to produce electricity to charge them.

Yes gas is 4 bucks a gallon with diesel over 5 but, under trump it was less than 1.80.

How much is an electric FARM TRACTOR gonna cost?
If you keep the price of diesel High, that cost is passed onto the consumer.

Seems they are putting the cart before the proverbial horse. Build the infrastructure first then slowly add the change.

thanks Senior, my #1 problem with electric vehicles is, just as you said, the bastards forcing them on us!

#2, ya cant beat the sound of a nicely tuned V8 with a healthy cam dumping into dual exhaust with turbo mufflers(like FlowMasters or Terminator Full Bore).

#3 RANGE! yea, sure, ya can get the bigger battery and go farther than with the standard battery, blah blah blah, BUT with gas/diesel engine, not only can ya go as far as the electric vehicle, ya spend 5 minutes to refuel and you're back to cruising on down the road while the electric vehicle is still waiting to charge!

biden says NO FOSSIL FUEL, but yet A LOT of electricity already comes from fossil fuel and naturally, when ALL vehicles are electric, there's going to be a need for even more electricity made from fossil fuels. then you have stupid ass limp dicks like newsom in California, wearing his fleece jacket in his office, telling people to turn their air conditioners up to avoid electrical black outs and I saw something about him saying not to charge your vehicles to avoid a blackout!

I've been to his private garage. Jay is a very enthusiastic collector. Great guy. The trouble is what its going to do to the country as a whole. We're not ready for a 100% electric society. The technology isn't capable of keeping up with the demand. I've been in the automotive industry my entire life (other than my time in the military). Sure electric can have its place. To drive the industry to completely powered by electric is a farce and it will put a significant number of folks unemployed and out of business.

Edit: Ok now that I have listened to the whole thing, this guy is doing what proponents of electric have done since 2000 when this started to become a topic.  Electric cars arent cheap, as he is attempting to make them.  You'll spend $60k+ for one.  The inexpensive cars on the market today, which are some high volume sellers for folks with limited income start around lets say $25k.  Thats a little on the high side, but doesnt matter.  What David isnt addressing is LOW income folks dont go out and buy a new car off the lot.  They buy used for $3000?  $5000?  Maybe less.  You're not going to buy an electric at that price and if you do?  The battery pack needs to be replaced and he wont mention what that costs.  So you'll kill the affordability by making electric the only option.  Lets talk about driving.  ACTUAL driving.  I'm in Rochester NY and tomorrow morning I'm driving back home.  I have to be in the office on Monday morning.  10 1/2 hours drive tomorrow, 5-6 on Sunday.  There arent enough fast charging ports from here to there to do that.  Sure that can change in the future, but if it takes 30 minutes on a fast charge and theres 100% of the vehicles on the road that have to use it, how long is your wait going to be?  Its going to be a lot longer that the 30 minute charge time.  It could be several hours.  He conveniently skips past all the negatives.  Yes the electric powered car has been around for quite a long time.  There is no relevancy to that today.  Gasoline powered won and we have the roads and support for it in THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of services in just about every town.  Mechanics, dealerships, fuel stations, service stations.  You advocate to eliminate all those jobs and the economy doesnt recover.  You've effectively killed it by forcing the country to go fully electric by 2035. Mr. Killacky can be passionate about it.  But hes not applying common sense to any of his argument.
