The weight to total output ratio is still not great for batteries. I have no doubt that they'll continue to advance; but from what I've seen on the computer hardware side of things the advancement has been slow compared to other technologies.

It costs about 17 cents to drive one mile in an average gas-powered vehicle versus roughly 5 cents to drive one mile in an electric vehicle, if they can lower the price of the electric vehicle then it gets interesting. Thank you, Don for the discussion and info on this subject, Im learning.
