Queensland public sector staff will get the extra leave for their reproductive health in a move first outlined in May but now expanded to include around 290,000 staff.

Back from dermatologist. Hour and a half total. Operation took a half a hour . That lady is just setting up. Brand new building. Dr.Thomas ,her nurse , and assistant . 5 stiches a few freezings . Follow ups of course stiches come out in two weeks.

Big Red and I had been on this chase for days, prowling the rugged landscape of the Roaring Fork Motorway, our trusty gear always at the ready. The motorway, a narrow one-way passage with scant pull-offs, presented its own set of challenges. But Big Red’s vision was unparalleled, her eye for composition like no other. I often wondered if I was merely the mule, like Chu! Just for hauling the gear while she captured the magic.
Today was no different. We decided to be the first ones down the motorway, aiming to claim the best spots before anyone else. The creek beside the road was low, a whisper of its usual self, and the air was crisp with the promise of another perfect shot. We had learned from experience that opportunities vanish in an instant, and the weight of our equipment had often cost us that critical moment.
The plan was straightforward but required precision: no backing up, no second chances. As the sun began its ascent, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, we embarked on our journey. Each turn of the wheel brought a new potential scene into view, each glimmer of morning light a promise of something extraordinary.
Despite the early hour, my stomach grumbled, longing for a hearty ham and cheese omelet. But the hunger could wait; the shot could not. We maneuvered down the motorway, eyes sharp for the perfect pull-off, the ideal angle. Big Red, with her innate sense of composition, scanned the horizon, her camera ready to capture the essence of this wild, untouched beauty.
Every photographer knows the frustration of missing the perfect moment. The sun climbs too high, the light changes, or someone else arrives just in time to spoil the shot. But today, luck seemed to be on our side. We found a secluded spot, just enough room to park, and the scene unfolded before us. The early morning mist danced over the water, the forest a symphony of colors and shadows.
As Big Red framed the shot, I felt a surge of satisfaction. Maybe I was more than just the mule. Maybe, together, we were a perfect team, capturing not just images but memories, emotions, slices of time that would speak to the soul. In that fleeting moment, all the early mornings, the heavy gear, the endless search seemed worth it.
For in this solitary pursuit of perfection, we found something more—an adventure that fed our spirits, a journey that was as much about the chase as the capture.
