A parent of adult children knows better than most, its over too soon. Yeah, they still need you when they are grown, but those early years are gone too soon, and grandpa time is just too valuable. This phony is not worth ONE SECOND of that time. Screw him. Yeah, I have been a member for a LONG time, and I know more than most members of the general public, but KNOWING doesn't matter. These guys can KNOW he is a phony, but what do they have to stand on? All they can do is say "This other party, not present, says he is a fake." Oh sure, they can spout the facts, but he'll counter them, and since neither HE nor THEY were actually Seals, these guys are not speaking from direct experience. They are not speaking from direct access to the database. When Don is THERE its not a "Your word against mine" confrontation. Don carries with him all those years of being inside Naval Special Warfare. Don knows what the chow hall at Buds smelled like on Friday afternoon. He knows what color the trim in the office was painted. He knows EVERYONE and EVERYTHING from direct personal observation and experience. The phony doesn't. THAT is why the phonies cannot stand up to Don and appear convincing. These guys, with the best of intentions, are armed with the same info the phony is: Stuff they read, googled or were told by a third party; and this guy already has the upper hand. They are going to show up and start spouting stuff they googled and "heard," and disrupt this scheduled event? Its not going to go how they think. How can they not see that?

Love what you do Don, you made the right decision. You need to enjoy your family more than you enjoy exposing these fakes. Maybe recruit some younger Seals and teach them everything you know so that they can do the traveling and heavy lifting. You can still be heavily involved but it will free up your time to spend with family, just a thought brother..

I saw a phony the other day at a Lowes he parked his truck in front of the store and he had stickers all over his truck. Typical phony he was trying to bully people until law enforcement showed up. They asked him about the seal stickers and license plate holders and he was claiming typical phony his records were sealed. A officer ask him if he ever heard of Don Shipley and he got real nervous because I believe the officer was going to reach out to Don.

Good Morning Men, Slow day offshore, we caught 3 Wahoo and had 2 shots on the Blues but they wouldn't take the Bait. One of them did light up for a few seconds but just lost interest(might have been Leader Shy ) Still better than a good day at work. After almost 50yrs of Fishing off of the N.Carolina Coast, I still get just as excited catching a 5lb Speckle Trout as I do catching a 500lb, Blue Marlin. Fishing is Great!!!

Great morning to go walk at the gardens. Butterflies best shot in morning when their drying their wings. So good morning buttercup now get up off that thing!

The more I think about it entering a private event for a confrontation really isn't a good idea.
Once after shopping I noticed I was parked close to a bench so I thought I'd sit down and take in the view.
On my way I saw a sign so I read it ... something like ...

WTF?? it was a huge parking lot with a grocery store and 5 other businesses, people out for a walk cut across the lot all the time!

Many Cities have these ordinances, they use words like property, premises, owner, proprietor, business, establishment, purpose intent etc.

Technically if you take one step on the property and your purpose or intent is not to do the intended business of the owner you just committed a misdemeanor or violated an ordinance.

There will be more than one and they are intended to discourage things like loitering, hotel lobby sitting and they protect properties in general, they may even apply to places like bus stations that folks think of as "public".
A Church probably says "open to all" but you can't bust in to protest Deuteronomy 22:5.

In the common parlance we would talk about being polite, leave when asked, any business owner has the right to regulate activity at their place of business etc. but often things like loitering or busting into a private property for the purpose of a confrontation could be illegal (albeit selectively enforced misdemeanors)

Why can’t you get another group of legit seals to go after him? Sept 2 of last year there was a vice news special on QAnon and they featured David Straight. They reported there was no record of him being a navy seal. 

The info is out there if people wanna take initiative to do their own research. There are some out there who blindly believe his lies. So if Don went up there, there would be audience members who would protest Don.

I've never thought of it this way before and I know it must vary year to year but I wonder if there's ever been a cost analysis of what it takes per vet, to take them hunting at Warriors Rest. Perhaps a five year average of total operating costs, the free labor of Don and Diane, the land and facility improvements, etc. against the number of vets who have passed through over that time. I'll bet the results of what has been done there for the wounded warriors, regardless of cost or sacrifice, would humble us......and the vets.

Now that I see it's David Straight I see what's going on and the venues he uses.
The map shows him touring all over the nation, next stop is apparently Birmingham then on to Minneapolis (the entire schedule isn't listed) but there are little dots all over the nation.

Hi.. I am currently divorcing my husband. We were together for 14 years and have a 10 year old child. He lied to me about being a Navy Seal. He said he had a purple heart and was a Commander. He told me stories about riding in Torpedoes and that he'd been to Area 51. He had dog tags, patches, a purple heart. We went to sinner once while he wore the uniform and a veteran paid for our meal. He had a Navy Seal flag in our room, carved ST3 into our flagpole base. He also told me he had had lung cancer and that was a lie too. He faked being paralyzed with his ex wife (I was wife #3).
He has my child and won't let me see him. I'm living in a campground, trying to find a way. My current boyfriend was baffled when he heard everything this man put me through.
