Man when you were talkimg and that first low flying flight of geese came by i thought the same thing "why usnt he picking up his gun and taggimg those bastards" you need a nice break action double barrel 12 gauge over your shoulder at all times outside during hunting hrs
Freezing down here in Fla today, got down to 45!!! Lol
Cold as a Witches Titty here in Maryland these past few days...with the warm snap yesterday, the hunting should have been great on Sunday? ... we'll see?
I HAVE HUNTED GEESE AND DUCKS FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO DO IS GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ANY TREES AND ANY STRUCTURE THAT CAN POSSIBLY HIDE SOMETHING THAT CAN BE A THREAT TO THEM BIRDS. USE SOME LAYOUT BLINDS OR GRAB A ARMLOAD OF HAY FOR COVER AND HUNT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD. YOU DON'T NEED A TON OF DECOYS, JUST THE RIGHT PLACE WHERE PREDATORS CAN'T APPROACH WITHOUT BEING DETECTED. ONCE GEESE HAVE BEEN SHOT AT, THEY ARE SMARTER THAT THE AVERAGE IDIOT. i KNOW, BECAUSE THEY OUTSMARTED ME FOR THE FIRST 5 - 6 YEARS. ONCE I FIGURED OUT WHAT TO DO, I HAD GOOSE JERKY COMING OUT OF MY ASS. GOOD HUNTING.
