Grows as a bush, up to a car size, doesnt spread. Easily cut down. Birds love it for the berries and cover. Herbivores love the taste of it. It can be eaten to the ground and grows back each season.

You can fry it up and eat it. Atriplex its called. Thers short and tall, they will both grow in your impoundments even when inundated with salt water. Ours is not the same as the European type.

I can send some of my seeds, give some a go, will grow 3 feet tall in a year and stop at 8 feet or so if not eaten. Its non invasive and not banned in the USA.

Great video Senior, always nice to get a look at the property. The cabin is looking good, I'm sure you've gotten lots of good use out it. You've worked hard to keep those birds around, the property is a sanctuary for them. If you have to knock down crops to keep them that's the right move. If we've learned anything you always have a plan B, C, and D. I'm sure you're thinking about next year and the years to come.
