U.S. Marine Corps: Joint Exercise in Queensland, Australia

“So I said to him, ‘Jim, what are you standing the duty for?’ “And he said, ‘Sir, I looked at the duty roster for today and there was a young major who had it who is married and had a family; and so I’m a bachelor, I thought why should the major miss out on the fun of having Christmas with his family, and so I took the duty for him.’ ”
Never before or since has Krulak run into a general officer standing duty on Christmas Day.
“I think it says volumes about Jim Mattis and his leadership style,” Krulak said. “He did it very unobtrusively. He just took the duty.”

Does anyone know of a more convenient way to get stamps that will last a while for someone who sends cards all the time? I love making cards for people and Walgreens only sells stamps in sheets where they only last two weeks. Also, would the post office sell stamps in booklets? Thanks!!

The shack was the front entrance.To the left across the street was a hill.That was a straight 60 degree incline.Which started you out on your way to the rifle range.We ran it twice a week.The rest of the week.We ran down and ups.The chow hall was at the base of the Camp.Next to the Orawan theater.Straight down hill.Coming back was straight up hill.I'm still running at 63 years of age.Because Sergeant Giles was sadistic.He said when we died on the runs.He was going to make personal visits to our girlfriends at home.Sick fk.Loved him.Helluva Marine.😅

You have no reason to remember me, but I just wanted to say hello. We spoke way back in 2011 (I think). I was an Army combat medic and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving active duty, I was in the reserves for a short period of time. Me and a couple guys I served with were flown out to Nevada and interviewed with a newly established contractor that was getting into the private security contracting business. The chief of security was AJ Dickens.... The guy didn't smell right. During part of the interview he had lost 2 weapons at the range. I don't understand how a non commissioned officer or petty officer can lose a weapon. Especially if claiming to be in a job that spends a bunch of time on ranges. I contacted you about him and you verified he was a phony for me for free. I tried telling the doctor who hired AJ and he chose not to believe me at the time. Me and buddies warned them it was a huge safety risk having someone like that in a position in charge of security and we went home. We saw a year later it came out in a big way and it was on the news I think. Anyway I just recently chatted with one of the guys I was there with, decided to look you up, and saw you were running your own internet channel and I subscribed. Good for you for charging for verifications now. Thanks for doing that for free all those years ago. Now I want to pay it forward by subscribing and I wish for the best for you and your family.
