I had to laugh, when Don called me for the first time. He said he's your president, you voted for him. And i said hell no. I think he was just seeing what i said. I grew up in a Republican family. Then my sister got married and moved to liberal land. New Hampshire. Now she's a bleeding heart liberal. She new was voting for Trump in 2016. And she he doesn't have a chance in hell. Then when he won, she wouldn't take my calls for 3 months. And her answer was that I knew why, as if my one vote got him elected.

I feel for you concerning your Mother. This picture contains an image of a very good Friend who has since passed on. Dana is the Lady on the left in the picture. This is a portrait of her and brothers and sisters. Dana was required to take the Covid shot before she could be admitted to a nursing home. It was administered to her and two weeks later she passed away and the autopsy revealed that her renal system was full of blood clots😢.
Dane often talked about one of her brothers having been involved in UDT during the Vietnam war. Dana served a position in country in Vietnam. I hope to one day read her memoirs that she put down in a book she was writing. Dana had a different Mother who was Hispanic and honestly she looked Asian. She would never talk about what her role was in the Navy and her service time in Vietnam. She alluded to her story was in her book.

A Real Tear--A friend told me about his trip out with his grandson. This is what he said...............smile

Hearing this, my grandson burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it
wrong Grandpa? Is God mad at me?"
After I assured him that he had done a terrific job and that God was
certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.
He winked at my grandson and said, "I happen to know that God thought
that was a great prayer.""Really?" my grandson asked.
"Cross my heart," the man replied. Then, in a theatrical whisper, he
added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole
thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream
is sometimes good for the soul.”
Naturally, I bought my grandchildren ice cream at the end of the meal.
My grandson stared at his ice cream for a moment, and then he did
something I will remember for the rest of my life.
He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over and placed it
in front of the woman.
With a big smile he looked her in the eye and told her, "Here ma'am,
this is for you, you grouchy old bitch. You must be a Democrat, shove
it up your ass and cool off!"
Kind of brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it.
He will make a fine Marine one day.
