Ordered in some 9mm 124 g xtp rnds. For the non reloaders that's a Hornady Xtreme terminal performance bullet. My preferred rnd for my hunting pistols and muzzleloader 50s in 45 cal and 44. Making them for my carbine. Going to sit them on 8.3 g of blue dot. Should be pretty stout and get 1600 fps out of the carbine. It's at +P levels so no worries. See how the hogs like it. Hopefully they will be tickled.

I spoke to Murray, he says he is on the mend. He got a blood infection from the Stent procedure. Nearly killed him. Hes off his head on meds, sending weird messages, I just go along with them.

He reckons he will be home in a week, I have my doubts he will recover from this. He said the quack told him he might die, and Murray said if I crash let me go. I said mate that doesnt mean youre expected to get a near fatal infection from a day procedure. Im less than happy.

Just like to give a huge shout-out to Chuck, who is recovering from hip surgery. I've been blessed to get to know Chuck over my years here on the site. He's always treated me very well and has been a good friend to me. Anytime I've ever needed to talk to him, he always makes time to take my calls, and that has gone both ways; Chuck will check in on me from time to time. Chuck has become an ambassador of the site and is beloved and respected by all. He's a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran who went on to be a police officer. His whole life has been in service to his country, at home and abroad. I have no doubt he'll face this recovery head-on and be back up and running in no time. Can't keep a Marine down. My thoughts and prayers are with Chuck for a speedy recovery...🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🙏

He doesnt sound good, but last time I spoke to him he said this wont get me. I fear its the beginning of the end. Its difficult, its sad. However his form is to suddenly call and say hes fine. Hes tough, but like most old men, he keeps his card to his chest.

Getting old is sad as all of your old friends drop off, and those who are left have to take up the slack or they get lonely and instead of talking to 20 mates a day, suddenly its one or two. Being surrounded by women who love you is a consolation, but a man needs men to talk to.
