Why do you have so many houses that are subject to a HOA when the house sits on a clear title?
Down here if you live in a block of apartments or units, there is an owners corporation that looks after common property like the grounds and outside of the building, but thats it.

If you own a house, you are subject to the local Council like everyone else in the country, but thats it. So why would you choose to live somewhere where a neighbor can rule your life?

Since Don said he woke up an old man and can’t get it up anymore or something like that, and acting like he done n died, I took it upon myself to eulogize him:


Alright, folks, gather ‘round. We’re here to send off Senior Chief Don Shipley and his world famous hair; a man who was tougher than a two-dollar steak and twice as hard to swallow when he was on your case. I’m not saying Don was larger than life, but when he walked into a room, even the furniture stood at attention and everyone was amazed by his perfect hair.

Don Shipley, Navy SEAL Senior Chief, was a legend in every sense—part warrior, part myth-buster, and part guy who could make a muskrat feel like it needed to apologize for existing. If you ever met Don, you knew he didn’t just live life; he drop-kicked it into submission and made it salute the flag afterward. This was a man who could stare down a phony SEAL from across the country through a YouTube video and have them confessing faster than a kid caught stealing cookies.

Let’s talk about his Navy SEAL days. Don didn’t just serve; he was the guy who made the ocean nervous. Served in SEAL Team One, SEAL Team Two, and probably had the waves calling him “CHIEF” by the end of it. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism during a search and rescue mission, which, knowing Don, probably involved him wrestling a shark to save a buddy while yelling, “You call that a fin?!” He ran training courses so intense, they made grown men cry for their mommies and question their life choices. And when he wasn’t deployed, he was teaching SEALs how to blow things up or survive in places so cold, even penguins would’ve packed a parka. But never revealing the secret of his hair!!

Don and his wife Diane turned sniffing out stolen valor into an art form. Their YouTube series, *Phony Navy SEAL of the Week*, was like watching Sherlock Holmes with a buzzcut and a grudge. He’d call up these wannabe warriors, and by the end of the conversation, they’d be admitting they got their “SEAL training” from watching *Under Siege* too many times. Don didn’t just expose fakes; he did it with a grin that said, “I’m enjoying this way more than you are. Look at my beautiful hair.”

Now, Don wasn’t all about busting chops. He had a softer side—well, soft like a cactus, maybe. I can just imagine Don up in heaven now, probably arguing with St. Peter about whether the pearly gates need better perimeter security. Or maybe he’s already started a celestial *Phony Angel of the Week* series, calling out cherubs who claim they’ve flown in more divine missions than they really have. Wherever he is, you can bet he’s got a Bloody Mary, a smirk, and a story that starts with, “So there I was, knee-deep in trouble…”

So here’s to you, Don Shipley. You lived like a lion, loved like a poet, and laughed like a man who knew the world was full of phonies but never let it dim his shine. Rest easy, Senior Chief. And if you catch any angels trying to fake their halo credentials, give ‘em hell for us.

I have heard that about birds and eyes before, once with a humming bird and several times with magpies. Probably every bird has that instinct.
They instinctively know that large mammals (including or especially humans) aren't supposed to be anywhere near them and there is a "go for the eye" instinct. 

In the case of the humming bird they would rather fly away fast but it felt unexpectedly cornered.
Magpies and some others will be really aggressive during nesting season, especially if fledglings are on the ground.
Many birds aren't supposed to stay in the nest until ready to fly, they need to hop around and flutter-fly to get in shape 1st for some time.. 

When Jay was doing the eye thing that was probably a warning but with a wild animal you don't really know for sure when pure instinct will take over because instinctively, it's just the right thing for them to do.

Hey Don... The trick to transporting Jay in a bird cage , is to place a pillowcase over the cage while in transit. This researched technique "should" keep Jay calm, cool, and collected during the duration of the road trip. Best of luck, & cheers ☕
