So today was surreal.... I was following an ambulance outside of town when I noticed a small metal box sitting on the rear bumper. When the ambulance turned right, the box flew off and landed on the side of the road against the curb. Call me curious or just the Good Samaritan that I am, I pulled over and retrieved it. When I opened the box, there was a human toe packed in ice inside it. Whoops, that’s a serious mistake I thought. so I called the hospital and explained what I had found. The lady on the other end of the phone said, “Yes, the ambulance had just arrived minus the box”. I gave her my location and asked if they were going to send another ambulance to collect it? The lady replied, “No, we’ll just send a tow truck.”

Good luck Diane with your surgery, Godspeed on your recovery. Just got back from hunting last night. Killed 4 hogs.They had it coming . Was a exciting hunt. Rolled one with a headshot at 60 yards running with my 308. They don't jump like a deer. Speaking of deer it was tough going we are underwater at my lease N FL. Picked up my 2 deer from the processor and cooking spaghetti. Have videos to catch up on. Hope Everyone is having a great evening.

My father in law just had his second knee done the week before Christmas. He was in and out in under an hour and a half! Hes moving better now than he has since he was young he says. Its amazing what they can do! Wishing you the best!

I know this too well, I am a double replacement, sorry upgraded legs guy.
Never be shy or fearful to ask for anti-pain meds, less pain means a faster recovery time.

Good luck, Diane. My wife has had both knees replaced over the last two years and she's doing great.
Her new knees have been a life changer. Start physical therapy as early as possible and attend PT as long as possible. The longer the better for a great recovery. God bless you and Don. I know that

Look up Medicare advantage vs Medicare Supplement.
You can have only Medicare but the co-payments are high and less is covered.
Frankly, lots of doctors don't really want to take Medicare patients and only take a few, sort of like it's a public service. 

Military who are TriCare eligible and Medicare eligible probably want TRICARE For Life but I don't know if it's a supplement plan or an Advantage plan. 

You probably want to do what most TRICARE eligible Military personnel do when they reach full retirement age and become Medicare eligible.  

I have Medicare Advantage with Kaiser, since Kaiser is s  full Health Management System all by it's self they are the only ones I have to deal with and don't deal with Medicare for my Medical care once I have signed up with Kaiser. 

If you have a Medicare Supplement plan you may have to deal both with Medicare and the supplement insurance people but it's a better option for some. 

Many Medicare Advantage plans are organizations who provide you with a network of different doctors who have different services but with Medicare Advantage you only have to deal with the Advantage org.
