My family was from the Missouri Ozarks, Paw paw French. We had wilted lettuce once a week or so, its been fifty years since I had some. Thanks for the very good memories.

This is so cool, my Mother always had a garden with lettuce et al, Since we were tight on money and she always had bacon grease in a coffee can... I can see her making beans and cornbread ( fried potatoes) yum! Good reminiscing.

Probably the main reason I voted for Trump.......Supreme Court Justices. Looks like he's going to get another pick now, and if Ginsberg retires too...... dare I even hope??? Hope they don't decide to change their views after taking the bench, although that seems to happen allot.

Enjoyed it Diane. Just like our homecooking in N. Georgia. Some pinto beans and corn bread would go great with the salad. We have a salad almost exactly like yours.Very very good. You are a special girl!
