Congratulations, Brandi and Gary. I know fried chicken is intensely personal, especially to us Southerners. I add a packet of dry Ranch salad dressing mix to every 2 cups of flour. My Mama's recipe, and pretty durn good!

Diane & Brandy, Thank you so much for this Vid .. my Wife and I did this one today, and it turned out FANTASTIC ! Even though my Wife & I are both from 'the South' (Texas) .. we've had our share of Sunday Fried Chicken Supper, but never with marinating the Chicken first in Buttermilk .. it made all the difference in the World .. Great Job and keep 'em coming .. We LOVE this Site !!

I can almost smell that chicken cooking! Reminds me of visiting my grandparents in the Texas Panhandle as a boy. Grandma would fry up quail on the old stove and serve it with homemade biscuits and cream gravy just like what Diane just made. Only problem is, once you get hooked on that kind of gravy, no other gravy ever tastes right, ever again. And once you have it made with fresh, raw milk with the cream separated on top, nothing ever tastes as good and these days you can't even recreate it!

Growing up, my grandmother would be in the kitchen from morning to night. She was always cooking a meal. I really miss women like this. Good country women who make good meals and don't just throw dinners in the microwave. Men work hard in the field and good food is critical to keep them going.
