He schedule me for sadation ,he literally did a manual manipulation what is meant by that is he maually bent my knee. Thank God I was out cold. Bwahaha ,another story to bring up after a few drinks. Many I know say 2 months to 3 months magic time. Don’t talk to that Dame nurse. Go in and explain to only doctor  how hard you are working to rehabilitate your knee but during the process you must have medication and doctor is carefully monitoring you and that you are responsible and following the rules. It is so much easier to get better without pain. When I was in hospital and returned home I had an extended release and one for breakthrough pain. An immediate release. It sure helped me survive the process. You’ll find you’ll. Need them months from know occasionally when you over do it so get em while you can. Keep a “pain and medication diary “ so doctor will know you are a responsible person. Skip that crap that burns a hole in your stomach. Oxy only medicine that works. As you get better gradually take less and especially when traveling always have a prescription. I made that mistake Traveling overseas. I had to come home early. Be well. Don I’ve been reading up on oysters. Do try to get to those docks along Chesapeake bay and talk to some old oyster guys and pick up a bushel or two. I wonder if having different strains and some big ones would hurt or help your oyster beds. Box the honker up a styrofoam cooler of washed oysters on ice and I think dry ice and send them to me. Ha! My brother always gets Canadian “Malpeck” oysters and damn they are the cleanest and tasty oysters you can get. I think they sell them in DC along the docks. Do try to buy a bushel even if you have to ship away for some. It was always a family tradition for us and we would use shells, use bread crumbs and bacon and old bay put them into shells with that mixture withe celery too and bake them. Damn good Don. I’ll send you the receipe it was either oysters rockerfeller or oyster casino but my mom had doctored up her own. Some folks prefer the cooked type and especially good warm out of oven.   And we always kept shells to make again. Sometimes we would buy the gallon of oysters already shucked and use the shells. I’ll email my moms receipe.

Great video D&D, always good to get for a drive. The weather has been great, feels like Spring is already here. Hopefully when the weather is nice enough, Diane will be able to exercise her knee in the pool. As far as eating Muskrat, I'll have to take a pass on that...

I remember my Dad asking my mother why she would eat a muskrat. She was raised on a farm and would eat anything that swims ,flys, or walks, but she ate muskrats because she didn't have to share with anyone else. A couple good sized muskrats was like getting a Tbone steak and not having anyone ask for a bite.

I just wanted to post a comment about something. I own a tech business. From time to time I do a file recovery or a job for local police when they need a more detailed repair. Something that their computer people can't do. I just did a file recovery for a local county homicide detective, and it gave me a new respect for what the police do. It takes special people to see that kind of thing day to day and go on and solve cases and make our communities a better place and a safer place. Police stand up everyday for people who can't stand up for themselves. I'm sure there are a few police here on Dons website, and if a cop is reading this, Thank you for what you do!

In my opinion he should have brined it at least overnight, but here you go, it's not salted armadillo offal or british navy hardtack, lol

Muskrat. Awesome! I trap and pop squirrels and consider them tree chicken. Lot of tiny ass bones like croaker fish but in a gumbo or jambalaya or any stew it’s great. No one will know and in fact the people with taste buds will ask what’s the meat lol. I’ve never roasted one but what I hear the way to do it is Italian salad dressing brine in a ziplock bag for three or four days.

I've trapped 100 s of muskrats. But it wasn't something we had to eat. Or i say grew up eating. What does ot taste like?
