I'm on day 18 of mine. They always start the same way, a horrible sore throat on the first night is the first symptom, and then my sinuses stuff up and start running like crazy. Then after a few days of that, it always goes down into the chest and I hack up all sorts of green crud from the lungs. Doc nuked that with a Z-pack and that killed the green crud but I still cough up clear crud from the lungs and my nose has started to run much less... got swabbed for COVID and the flu and both negative.

After thinking I was clear of the bug or virus for 24 hours I did have a slight fever again last night, the lung congestion came back but it was gone again this morning.
Nasal congestion is still abnormal.

If this doesn't clear up by Monday morning that will be the end of the 4th week and start of the 5th week.

The really nasty part where I was coughing, felt like I had asthma and was very low energy with fever coming and going several times a day lasted a bit over 3 weeks.

Mind numbing work in the sheetmetal shop today. Making riser boxes. Service dept is slow.

I would encourage a steroid (oral), plus broad-spectrum antibiotics, plus a secondary antibiotic suited for a lung infection. But, even with TWO antibiotics, the steroid will help to drive this out. It is likely a bacterial infection in her lungs. The initial treatment is to keep the dogs and everything related to the dog away from her, especially where she sleeps. Prop her upper body up on a CPAP wedge to get her head and shoulder blades up, and check on her throughout the night to shift her back on the wedge. RInse all the bedsheets twice after you wash them, and use a different laundry detergent. DO NOT use fabric softener or dryer sheets, as these ALL complicate breathing problems and respiratory infections.

Chris is going to be taking testosterone replacement and estrogen replacement among other things now because he almost certainly shut down both systems. He will almost certainly have a lower life expectancy, an increased risk of developing dementia, an increased risk of diabetes, impotency, chronic fatigue, depression, moodiness. Bad situation to be in.

I hope Diane gets better soon. I got the flu a couple months ago, and it just took me out. I have never been so sick. My body temp was over 102 for a week, and the coughing lasted two months. And nothing helped. But it finally went away. Just took time.

MRI, Biopsy, steroids had to see a oncologist. Was scary when you hear that. Long story short she's ok. Did every test under the sun. Could be that covid vaccine. Who knows.Hope they get her squared away. We have coyotes everywhere here in FL. They kill pets right here in Pinellas county. What rifle you use? How’s her breathing? I always use a pulse oximeter when I’m sick. It will tell you your O2 levels. I’m sure you may have one or have used. 20 bucks on Amazon or Walgreens. As I wrote up or below, I was in Co and my wife said that I looked bad, a slight cough but all I did was sleep. Yes I was in mountains of Colorado. She said either I was going to hospital or she was calling ambulance. I first of course took a shower because my mom always said if you ever had to go to hospital take a quick shower. As I entered he. ER I collapsed into arms of Docs and nurses only to find out had a nasty case of pneumonia. Remember my major symptoms were sleeping a lot a just a very low cough. Not really much of a cough. Hospitalized for 7 days IV antibiotics pain med due to chest pain. The long and short of it is that I snore so I use a CPAP something that has changed my life. No one should be snoring as it can damage and destroy heart etc. well I found out that when your at elevation, I was to connect oxygen to my CPAP and I had never been told that and Estes Park 7500 feet not that great. Apparently the. Lack of oxygen or whatever  altitude led to pneumonia. At Mississippi River it only 600 feet above sea level where I live. The lung doc specialist said if you snore, use a cpap or get s nasty cold etc to check your oo2 levels. They checked mine when I arrived after they picked me off the damn floor and it was like 55  O2 and was told I was lucky and minutes from death or heart attack. So part of your first aid kit should be a pulse oximeter which usually  should read 95 or greater saturation. If Diane snores or you especially if sick just clip that baby on finger and check it often. It could save your life! For 20 bucks it’s great. They have watches and other devices that let’s off an alarm if it drops too low.   When I saw how sluggish she was in that video that is what I thought she should be checking and I now have an RX for O2 and my wife now also has asthma sometimes needs as her O2 level drops. Go buy one  a pulse oximeter for home use first aid kit and have on had and if drops in 80’s go to hospital or seek appropriate medical care. I ain’t a doctor but my dad was a doctor, a brother is and 2 nephews are so this info sort of rubs off. Very odd she is being given antibiotics when it could be a virus and they don’t know what’s going on. If your going to a doctor in a box maybe she needs to be evaluated at ER for a better assessment. This entire story may not mean one damn thing but again I had never had pneumonia and when they said I dodged a bullet due to my wife’s insistence (and damn I’m glad I had listened to my moms old advice if going to er always take a shower was important as I was getting pretty “gamey” laying around for several days before my wife forced me to go to ER. Maybe you’ll get a laugh maybe it will help I just wish you both good health and that things. Get better as I’m looking forward to rat report etc.! Have a good one

One bad mistake with coyotes, is to shoot at them in daylight and miss. They are very qurious but like to stay just out of range in the daylight. They'll go nocturnal with no trouble. Shotguns are a waste of time. If you kill them from a distance it doesn't seem to bother the pack. Kill them up close and you'll have trouble finding them.I use to have regular success with crow decoys hanging from strings from a small tree. Use my electronic crow call to get their attention and then suck them in with the wounded rabbit call. I think the crows put them at ease because they are predators too. But I never associated myself with any killing. I left them lay for a day or two. Never walked onto the field after shooting. I once killed 4 coyotes under the same tree in 5 days Never hunted with a night scope setup but I'll bet thats a blast to use.

I had "the crud" for 3 1/2 weeks. It started on a Sunday night then I went to bed with a fever late at night (so a Monday was really the 1st day).

Mostly low grade fever on & off and lung and nasal congestion (unusual for me, I rarely get nasal or sinus congestion & those things always hit the lungs).
I felt winded climbing a flight or two of stairs, was very low energy and didn't really feel like eating much.

Finally this last Wednesday evening I went to bed with a higher fever late at night and woke up after night sweats but feeling pretty good Thursday and feel almost normal today.

It may be over ... I think ... I still have a bit of nasal or sinus congestion but the lung congestion seems to be gone.
