Your Dad was a dude! You have spoke previously how he would light up a room. I don’t know if we’ll ever sit in a blind together but your Dad is a story I’d love to hear more about. My Dad was also my hero and while he didn’t leave US during WWII he was in Army as a doctor and eventually spent about a decade in West VA as a MD for coal mines. He loved outdoors and eventually bought 130 acres where we planted 1000 orchard trees and 40 acres of white and red pine when I was 5 some 51 years ago. Rare in Illinois and it is still my sanctuary and a place perhaps someday you’ll come and visit. With 2 lakes, a “white sand” creek it is a place where I feel at most at peace.

A very touching memory from a rough Rx. I would take Ambien in my old medic days after night works when I really couldn't wind down but needed sleep badly. I HATED the vivid dreams of rough jobs I had worked and eventually titrated the dose to where it gave me the LEAST amount of head noise. My grandpop who passed when I was about 17 was a US Marine and fought in the Pacific Theater. He didn't talk much about his experience over there to my dad or anyone, but began to share what he experienced over there with me as I got older. I had a close relationship with him until he passed. He and my grandmom had a shore house in North Wildwood NJ at one point and I was always there in the summer as a kid. So where I'm going with this rambling bullshit, I took a small dose of Ambien one morning after nightworks and found myself down the Jersey shore sitting on the front porch of the shore house with my granpop, just him and I shootin the shit, it felt absolutely real. It was prob. about 15 years after he had past. Great memory.

My Dad was like Diane. After he passed we went out to family tree farm and finally did it up. RIP Dad! Still have that beautiful 10 point Midwestern big boy on wall. 125 yards (no bs) right through heart and he fell 20 feet away coming after my ass. Deer hunting a fantastic time especially for young hunters.

Deep man, very deep! I’ve had similar dreams. I’ve talked to my grand parents in dreams like they were in the same room with me, my father as well. I talked to my grandfather once and he appeared as a younger man and I never knew his as a young man. I’m not a huge believer in the after life but sometimes, when you dream like that, it keeps me guessing.

Ambien is a very strange drug if you take it and force yourself to stay awake you have a crazy buzz not a bad one either. You feel good and you imagine things are different. I haven't had it in 20 yrs I had it when I had back surgery I couldn't sleep. I was only on it a short period of time.

Good night everyone and Good morning Cardinal Chuck. I went target shooting last Saturday with my sons. We brought along our own guns. My sons wanted to go to the indoor range where it was flat fee to rent guns - $20 and you could trade out and try as many guns as you wanted. The deal was you had to use their ammo. Number One son wanted to try the Hellcat 9mm (not the Hellcat Pro). I don't recommend it. The gun is so small the recoil is uncomfortable, and the time to recover from the recoil impacts the accuracy of your next shot if you find yourself in a situation where accuracy counts. Anyway after that my younger son says we should stop off at this new gun shop. The gun shop already started their black Friday sale. They had a beautiful Savage 30.06 on sale for $369 with a scope. The last words I heard both of their wives say when we left the house was, "Don't buy any guns." So we are standing at the counter at the gun shop with the salesman and both my sons pull their phones out and say, "Hello honey, um I found this gun and it is a really good deal." My first son got off the phone after his wife said "NO!" And my second son is still on the phone with his wife. The sales manager looks at my first son and says to him, "you've been married longer than your brother." My second son is repeating what his wife is saying, "Well sweetie, if you really need a new gun I guess." Then he says, "Really? You really mean it?" My first son says when he hears that, "Hang up the phone it's a trap." Then both my sons look at me and say "Dad you need a new gun." My response was, "I've been married longer than the two of you put together." I have a 30.06 my dad gave me when I was 14. Best memories of my Dad and Granddad were all about fishing poles and guns. My oldest young'un has an old Winchester 32-40 that was made on the late 1800s. I loaded some lead bullets with a powder made by Accurate that duplicates the pressure of the old black powder of the day. It's also a very short range rifle.

If you have excess deer meat you can have them grind it with 10-15% beef fat and it will hold together in a patty on the grill. You get beef flavor from the fat but you can still taste the deer.

Don, I take lunesta 3mg every night. If I want to get to sleep fast I take two. They gave me Ambien one night in the hospital and I had realistic horrible dreams. I will never take it again. No problems like that with Lunesta.
