That looks great!! you can always use Idaho potato's instead of the sweet ones and then just mash them up when you are done with a little more butter and I like to add a bit of cheese with mine for flavor. Diane what size skillet is that?? I am using my Mee Maw's (grandmother) that it is 80 some odd years old now and it is a small one for me, then again I am 6'3" and 225ish

Their reason for joining is as varied as their last names. They all took an oath to preserve and protect an idea, for the betterment of the whole. It was a very large step, for some a very scary step, but they all took that step. Soon , with some training and education they start belonging to the group. They gain a certain sense of purpose, they start to really understand the reason for their need to be there. The person on their right and on their left become something they will die for if needed. Some are there but a short while, while others for many reasons make this their lifes work. They get paid very little for this commitment,to defend an idea,that some think is silly and no longer needed. They spend allot of their time in very bad places, they are away from those they love and admire, for long periods of time. They do all this willingly to preserve an idea. FREEDOM, we all have it , but only a few are willing to stand the watch to be sure it doesn't get lost or taken away. Veterans are the gatekeepers that continue to protect and defend this idea. A sincere and polite "Thank You " is all they ask for from the rest of us. THANK YOU to all the veterans past present and future that keep the idea of FREEDOM alive and well guarded.

A poem I wrote while off the coast of Columbia.

Dear Ryleigh, Liam, and Payton,

Daddy is sorry he could not be with you on this Remembrance Day;
The Navy has once again taken him away.

Today Daddy fights a different kind of war;
The one that stops the drugs from reaching our shores.

I do this to make the world a safer place for you kids to play;
One day you will understand why your Dad spent so much time away.

I never want you to forget the sacrifice our fallen comrades have made;
Mom and you kids are awesome, and I want you to remember what you have paid.

Many kids go home after school, Dads there to catch them when they fall;
I often think of you kids, saying goodnight to a picture of me on your bedroom wall.

Today we remember all the people who fought and died, so we could be free;
But also I remember the people I leave behind, when I set sail for the open sea.

Daddy Loves and misses you guys see you soon.
XO XO XO.
