When I was a boy I hunted and trapped, and would bring home 2 - 4 rabbits or squirrels every week during the winter. My mom would take a couple of them and put them into a roasting pan, put carrots and potatoes around them and put home made biscuits on top--squirrel pot pie! Rabbit pot pie!! Yum!

Thank you for the great stories and Diane I love Pot Pie so much. My mother passed last March her Pot Pie was incredible that's a Pennsylvania Dutch dish and man everyone went crazy over her pot pie I need to attempt to try to make Pot Pie myself I know the recipe, that was touching when you said that Diane. You had a freakin' wolf as a pet? As a kid on the farm, we had a hybrid. He looked just like a wolf though. They don't get domesticated very easy, they're very different than dogs. All I remember was he was extremely aggressive.
