Shaun Attwood is celebrating, "Mission Accomplished". No. That's not a video, book, nor an article title. That's a sentiment, translated to: "I'm making money from the curiosity of gullible viewers who fall for "false shock value". Attwood, like all the other douche bags found on any video-hosting website, is making money by providing misleading content, despite knowing that content to be proven false. Have any of you ever clicked on a video, only to find out that the uploader either embellished, flat out lied, or neglected to mention anything concerning what you were REALLY about to watch? I understand that most uploaders are not journalists, with any sense of responsible reporting. Anyone that can navigate YouTube, can easily post content, and NOT be held responsible for their actions. "Click bait" has become a formidable ally to the easy-buck artist. All you have to do is make your video APPEAR to have shock value, & you're golden. There are years-old videos with misleading titles STILL on YouTube, despite the uploader having been asked to change it's title to reflect the content, or to simply remove it. They STILL remain, because they STILL generate hits. Let's face it... If Attwood did the right thing, by removing the videos in question, he loses monetary compensation. As of now, the videos are still on his channel. Why? Because people will still want to view them, even though he knows them to be misleading. As long as viewers continue to click the play button, he makes money. Attwood does NOT care if his content is accurate. He cares if it generates hits. Simple. Can we expect him to do the right thing any time soon? My guess... HELL NO. Why? Maybe you'd want to ask that ex-con, and his addictive personality, why. As long as "shock value" remains, as long as Don's attention is on this...so will those videos remain. For a lot of us... Don & Diane are simply "good viewing". And we love it when they rain hellfire on a deserving phony. So does Attwood. Right or wrong, those videos are not going anywhere, anytime soon. Isn't that right, Shaun?
