Some moves are crazier than others... My wife took us from the quietest secluded home in Richmond Kentucky, to an 1860 haunted house in Southern Ohio. Trust me, don't say "Beetleguice" 3 times in our recent home... Probably won't end well... Kidding we both love the "New" old house, and yes, my wife loves decorating for Xmas and Halloween, but I did remind her that there would be more trick-or-treaters if she stops scaring the shit out of them with her decorations... on an already scary as hell house.

Don we moved several years ago from our rural 8 acres that had a home built in 1907 on property owed by same family since 1830’s. Barn built in 1881, blacksmith shop on and on. We now live in a house on one story and basement still in a rural area and it took several months to sell everything and get moved. So soon things will get better and take time during this process to relax. I sure have enjoyed all the reports, Jay, well everything and I have great respect for your love of nature. You and Diane are wonderful people and hope someday to buy you folks dinner! Hang in there and slow the pace down here and there to get through the transition. Best,

Good Mornin’ all, Been kicking ass at work, (Home Health Care),going back to school later in life, eventual goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. My few precious hours of relaxation spent on sleeping in the car waiting on next shift to begin while watching the vids and reading the comments. Three days off at home now. I collect encyclopedias and textbooks of all subjects and dates. I went into Goodwill today to see if there were any dresses to do a sewing project and even though I didn't find any, I found textbooks where the most expensive one was $5. I paid $13 for all these glorious books. The biology book is from 1995 which made me extra excited because vintage encyclopedias and textbooks are my favorite.

80 years ago today... I found this while I was looking through some of my dad's records. His ship, the USS George Clymer, left San Francisco on August 12th, 1945, to prepare for the invasion of Japan. He said once that they learned of the atomic bomb as they passed under the Golden Gate bridge and they learned that the war was over soon after that. He saved this little booklet for all those years but I never saw it until a decade after he was gone.
The ship had a victory supper with turkey and ham and letters from the senior officers on board, both the ship's captain and the Colonel of the Army soldiers that they were hauling.

80 years ago today...
I found this while I was looking through some of my dad's records. His ship, the USS George Clymer, left San Francisco on August 12th, 1945, to prepare for the invasion of Japan. He said once that they learned of the atomic bomb as they passed under the Golden Gate bridge and they learned that the war was over soon after that. He saved this little booklet for all those years but I never saw it until a decade after he was gone.
The ship had a victory supper with turkey and ham and letters from the senior officers on board, both the ship's captain and the Colonel of the Army soldiers that they were hauling.
