Flashbacks--was told by therapist (after I got sober) that I had all of the same symptoms of PTSD that a lot of Vietnam vets he had treated had. Don't know if you could call it PTSD and it doesn't matter. Was suicidal twice and the last episode I called the priest that had sent me to my first AA meeting in 1970. He said go ahead and off yourself if you're feeling that important!! This guy reminded me of the comment another priest made to a guy on the pity pot at an AA meeting. He said--get off the cross, we need the wood--LMAO.
Now pleasant memories--will be celebrating on Christmas eve 63 years to the day that I met my sweet wife, Bonnie--and spending quality time with my family here in St Louis County--noting that, at the end of my drinking career, I was disinvited to family gatherings. Life is good--Gbless all and Merry Christmas to all.
