Winter Solstice.-29 and no wine.4hrs31' daylight.Tomorrow I will get geared up and drive the 40 miles to the store.Travel can be risky at these temps.If you have a breakdown,not much traffic.It can get cold and lonely out there really fast.I carry lots of cold weather gear for me and dog.You all have a good day and stay warm!

Last day of work, back in the new year. Thought I'd go to the liquor store, needed more rum for the eggnog, picked up a bottle of Crown Royal as well. The lineup for the cash was insane. I took a picture, the cashes are to the left, there's just as many people there. Couldn't get them in the photo from where I was standing, there's just as many people behind me as well. Everyone is gonna think Canadians are nothing but a bunch of alcoholics...🍁

If you can get some Canada goose chicks and release them they seem to migrate back to where they learned to fly. They did that in Minnesota, then when the flocks got out of hand they sent chicks by the hundreds to North Dakota. Now we have a 15 bird/day limit and the shores of many lakes are ankle deep in goose shit.
