Cpl Cameron Stuart Baird VC MG was a young man, but older than a lot of his team mates, so he was always looking after them. Alone and unassisted Cam attacked an enemy stronghold three times because he thought it was his job, on the third attack Cam was killed and the position taken.

Howdy Folks, got my wife home yesterday from the hospital. She had 3 by passes along with a Valve replacement and two valve repairs. Weāve been in and out the hospital for two months and it tends to wear an old manās ass out. Itās great getting her back home and recovering from Open Heart Surgery. By the way, I turned down the Navy to marry her in 1968. Weāve been married for 55 years. I havenāt been the best husband over the years, but she hung in with during all the ups and downs. Thanks listening and thanks to all the good folks on this page for encouragement during this most difficult time. Thatās all I got.. out and cheers.
