I'm at camp, the first one to arrive. I've got my tent set up; it's a 12-man Coleman, so I can stand up in it, no problem. My bed is all set up as well. I have it on a sturdy set of legs, with a nice queen-sized pillow stop air mattress pressure-controlled. On top of the mattress is two and a half inches of egg foam, which is a game changer. It draws all the moisture away from your body, so you're always nice and dry. I have queen-sized sheets, comforter, and a memory foam pillow. As you can see, I have a power cord running into my tent. This allows me to use my kettle, Bluetooth speaker, phone charger, light, and my heater/AC unit. It ain't my own bed, but it's comfortable. I'll keep you posted...let the 3 day drunk and puff fest begin...

I could tell a story or 2 about Bill but wont! lol well, one quick story... I was CQ one night, Bill wanted to go party with Sgt K and a few others so I had to run from Bill from Charlie Company up to the front of HHC so he could tackle me in front of his wife who was setting in their car in the parking lot. the story was I was trying to go AWOL and he had to 'babysit'/guard me all night so his wife would go home and not expect him, lol. Bill went straight to RANGER school after AIT, then was stationed at 3rd Ranger Bat until Jan 93 when 9th Inf Regt transferred to Ft Lewis, WA (I was Advance Party from Ft Ord, CA) Bill was always cool as hell

NTC for me is National Training Center, Ft Irwin, CA, 30 day field problem. I did it Nov/Dec 92. being Light Infantry (Light Fighter) we didnt have vehicles or tents or any kind of shelter to get outta the weather, it pissed n poured everyday, snowed on us, sleet/ice, had a few guys drop with hypothermia, yeah, it sucked! naturally, we all had to hump our shelter half in our rucks but wasnt allowed to actually use them, sleeping bags were soaking wet/frozen... worst damn field problem I ever had!
