It's the weekend again, and a very special one at that. Friday was the last day of school; now it's party time for the whole summer. We brought our report cards homeโall A's. Mom was so proud of us. She gave us all a big hug and $100 each. She has to work this weekend again at the hospital, so she said she'd take us out for ice cream next weekend. "Yes sir, we've got it made in the shade for another summer," or so we thought. The turn in the road starts off with us going to Hef's for the weekend. We, of course, brought our report cards to show him. We were all set to swing into a nice weekend at Hef's, drinking, toking, watching movies, and playing video games. Hef looked at our report cards and called bullshit on us! He believed that all year long we'd been using the DeLorean's advanced onboard computer system to hack the school's computer so we could get copies of all tests and exams and use them to manipulate our final grades. He was certain of this. He then went on to inform us that he had prepared a series of exams that we would have to complete to prove him wrong. He gave us a few hours to study; then the exams would follow, with the stipulation that we needed to score no less than 80% on all exams. He also informed us that if we didn't reach the 80% threshold there would be consequences. These included no more DeLorean, all HVAC apprenticeships would cease immediately, mother would be informed, and we'd have to write a formal apology to the school. What Hef didn't know was we didn't need a few hours to study for his very difficult and punishing exams. What else he didn't know is that we all wear a very high-tech set of contact lenses. These lenses read and communicate the information they record back to the DeLorean. The DeLorean's onboard computer then transmits the answers back to a receiver we have implanted in our ears. While Hef gave us time to brush up on our studies, we talked amongst ourselves. We decided that we'd come back with final grades of 92%, well above the 80% Hef was looking for. We cakewalked the exams. Hef came back to us with our 92% final grade, his hat in hand, apologizing for ever having doubted us. We extended an olive branch to him; we told him we understood his concerns and that he was only trying to make us better. That being said, school's out for Summer and the big machine keeps rolling, be on it or under it, the choice is yours...

New addition for the house, introducing Evee, I call her Hybrid lol ๐. Been 4 years since Cooper passed and Tina thinks they need a puppy. Been in the house for a week now and adoption papers signed today. 7 month old Bull mutt, had a bad life in Alabama and made her way North! Very good puppy, potty trained, great with the kiddos and love the fenced in back yard with room to run.

I have returned from my latest adventure from an extended stay at one of our local VA Hospitals. Woke up a few weeks ago in our local emergency room after an adventure with sepsis, and it took a few days to get my labwork clean enough to transfer me to the VA. Back home now, and being looked after, but as I get older, these unplanned visits to the ER are becoming more frequent.
Weโve had a few Twisters in ILLinNoiz so far this year. Central and southern areas hit hardest. This is through 6/21, we are over 200 now. Prayers for those affected ๐๐

I just remembered, the Bridge over Senior's right shoulder way in the back ground(Great Neck rd. ) is the one I jumped off of when I was 16yo. and "Boy O Boy" did I cause a lot of Trouble for a bunch Folks. The Fuzz saw ( what they were called back then ) what I had done and called the RESCUE SQUAD and they in-turn call the FIRE DEPARTMENT Who calls the COAST-GUARD and I in mean time I*'am enjoying my self not paying attention to what's going on on the bridge. Anyhow I float and Swim on over to "Long Creek Marina" where my friends were to pick me up. I got picked up alright: ARRESTED and charged with "DISORDILY-CONDUCT and for CAUSING A PUBLIC DISTURBENCE. The very next day in the Va.Pilot newspaper front page (2nd second ) was the story "Teenager Rescued at Lynnhaven Inlet" and a picture of a Sad and Wet looking Young PARANAH. When asked by the Cops....Why?... My Cocky 16yo self said "I lost a Flip-Flop off the Bridge and went after it", Boy, the Judge didn't Like hearing that. "30 days on the Pea farm Son" (just kidding about the Pea farm) I did lose my car for a Month, being 16 and middle of Summer and NO car!!! That SUCKED!!! I was still trying to get my first PIECE! Senior, here is one of my fish stories. We were staying with a friend in Vidalia, Georgia, got up one summer morning at the butt crack of dawn. Walked down to a small pond, got in an old john boat and rowed out. Made some cast and snagged a 11 pound largemouth. I am all excited and then looked over and damned water snake trying to get in the boat and this guy dont do snakes. So im rowing with one hand and keeping the rod up in the other. Get to shore reel the bass in and I took off running up to the house. I run upstairs and leap on the bed and scare the bejesus out of my wife and have her go outside where I am proudly standing there with my large bass. She looks at me and says a few words I shall not repeat. That deflated my elation but nonetheless. Old Chester as I named him rode back to Middle Tennessee in a cooler where I got him stuffed and he sat in our living room for 20 years just to spite my wife... then I donated him to the local Mens Rescue Mission where he is now looking over men in their program there. Keep on keeping on Senior.

Senior, here is one of my fish stories. We were staying with a friend in Vidalia, Georgia, got up one summer morning at the butt crack of dawn. Walked down to a small pond, got in an old john boat and rowed out. Made some cast and snagged a 11 pound largemouth. I am all excited and then looked over and damned water snake trying to get in the boat and this guy dont do snakes. So im rowing with one hand and keeping the rod up in the other. Get to shore reel the bass in and I took off running up to the house. I run upstairs and leap on the bed and scare the bejesus out of my wife and have her go outside where I am proudly standing there with my large bass. She looks at me and says a few words I shall not repeat. That deflated my elation but nonetheless. Old Chester as I named him rode back to Middle Tennessee in a cooler where I got him stuffed and he sat in our living room for 20 years just to spite my wife... then I donated him to the local Mens Rescue Mission where he is now looking over men in their program there. Keep on keeping on Senior.

If you guys love horror movies you need to see the Witch. Its about a Christian family who got ran out of their church in 1700 America and moves onto farm land cursed by a witch. My favorite part of the movie is when the Witch steals a newborn baby out of the bassinet, butchers it and bathes in its blood. It's my new favorite horror movie. Phenomenal. Idk if it's still on Netflix or not.

Man looks like loads of fun in the sun. The wife refuses to let me out on the lake. She says if I fell overboard with my shirt off they'd mistake me for a whale and call the wildlife ppl and wonder how a whale ended up in middle Tennessee. My wife and I hope you have lots of days on the water.
