Ole Slew Foot is out there chawing down on your corn and letting the coons take the fall. I'm glad the bees didn't carry y'all away! I am especially glad your granddaughter came away unscathed. I remember my little brother stomping an old rusted coffee can in the woods one year when we were teenagers. A trillion yellow jackets came out. It didn't help that one of our two friends with us got hung up in a vine when he tried to run. I had to turn back to untangle him. We definitely learned a lesson that day. It sounds like your dad was a firm believer in learning from first-hand experience. Funny how some of the best memories were no fun at all when they were being made. Such is life. I'm glad all is well, Chief!
