The people selling fake medals and flashes to phonies are just as bad as the phonies, they should be hunted as well imo. They half the problem and tattoo artists that ink ink that shit

im half there with you about the fake medal people, but what about people doing plays or tv etc who need props? im sure there are other legit reasons to need a fake medal i cant think of but anyhow.

on the tattoo thing, absolutely not. first of all, you can get tattoos of whatever you like, its up to you not to lie about what they mean to you. but more importantly, tattoo artists cant be expected to interview and do background checks on everyone wanting a tattoo of any individual thing, its none of their business.

The tricky thing you run into would actually be things like family members. For example after my grandfather passed away, my cousin built a beautiful shadow box for his awards and memorabilia. Some of it couldn't be found, so he had to order them from Medals of America. There was no malicious intent, simply making a tribute to our grandfather. On the face of it it seems like a good idea for them to require paperwork and proof to sell medals or other military items, but at the end of the day there are a myriad of good reasons one may wish to buy them. Family members, museums, film and television, folks who love and respect the military and simply genuinely love to collect related items and so on.Also on the tattoos, that's a bit out there as well. Most people neither know or care enough about military service details to do background checks, and most customers won't put up with it. And again, many people get them as a genuine tribute. Someone may not even know a SEAL for example, and simply wish to commemorate them out of respect, thanks, or admiration. When a person gets a music related tattoo for example - they don't generally know the artist at all. It's something that means something to them and they want to demonstrate this.On the face of it your suggestions seem like good ideas but at the end of the day it's not practical, and would just cut off people who seek these things for genuine, respectful purposes.

First of all, thank-you, your seal brothers, and anyone who has ever served, for your service. I'm Canadian, but respect for those that serve with honor knows no borders.

Love your videos! I signed up about two weeks ago, and I've seen every phony seal video so far. Is there a way to tag the in person busts somehow? Those are my favourite, and I'd love to go back and watch them, but they can be tricky to pick out of the list.

Finally, I have just about convinced a friend of mine from Crossfit to sign up for your camp next year. I would love to come down for the week. I think it would kick the crap out of me, but I think it would be an invaluable experience.
